« Zumal dir Orchester sich mit Dvoraks „Aus der neuen Welt“ im zweiten Konzertteil eine Sinfonie vorgenommen hatten, die eben gerade den Bläsern zahlreiche heikle Einzelleistungen abverlangt. Der 24- jährige Simon Rigaudeau verstand es aber, dynamish wunderbard abzustimmen. Das berückende Solo des Englischhorns krönte die wircklich beachtliche Leistung der Musiker, und bis aus wenige Ausnahmen stimmte hier alles. Der Gastdirigent führte rhythmisch äusserst exakt und suchte doch ebenfalls die sensiblen Farben im Orchesterklang.»
